Beach clean up - this Wednesday!

The highly anticipated Green Connection Beach Cleanup Extravaganza is coming!
This Wednesday (3rd December), meet at 10am outside the boiler room at college (opposite the gym). We will take the wheeli-bins down to Raumati Beach and cleaning up there. Hopefully Pram will join us! Bring all you mates along, we want a clean beach for the summer!
If your still at school then, your welcome to come, youll just needa return a permission form which you can get from MC.

1. Beach Clean Up
a. 3rd Dec 10am at Raumati Beach

2. MC proposes that this is also our break up party

3. MC needs numbers for 4th December Wellington Secondary Environmental
Youth Forum
a. Full day at Te Papa
b. Free and train reimbursed
c. 5-8 students

4. Recycling proposal to year level councils\
a. SMT/Deans suggested that each year level council take on a period of
time to be in charge i.e. 8 weeks Start with Yr 13 end with Juniors (this
would educate more students)
b. Deans not keen to be in charge so it was suggested that could a Yr 13
student (who would be a Green Captain) oversee with support of TIC GC
c. Created huge discussion for e.g. an environmental focus for year level
councils and RP offered to approach BOT for funding to support any
initiatives i.e. rubbish, beautifying the environment
d. Requested Green Captain or reps presents to councils next year about
Enviroschools, creative ideas for environmental change in the school and
recycling proposal.

6. 1st Dec Charles is coming in to meet with interested staff in TK's

Meeting on Monday 24th November cancelled

Our meeting on Monday 24th Nov is cancelled as I now have a Staff meeting
to attend. However we need to still meet on Wed 26th Nov at lunchtime to
discuss several issues including our beach clean up on the 3rd Dec, who
will be attending the Youth Forum on 4th Dec and I need some students to
pop in to our Enviroschools meeting with staff on 1st Dec.
